'Between the Sun and the Moon' included in première LUX issue
A morsel of exciting news to share this week is that my fine art photograph, ‘Between the Sun and the Moon’, a still life of red Anjou pears, was included in the première edition of LUX, a new publication produced by Maine Media.
Maine Media is a highly regarded photography and filmmaking school in Rockport, Maine that is known for year-round quality workshops serving an international population of photographers, filmmakers and writers. I’ve been fortunate to take a few workshops with Maine Media in recent years, both in person and online, and each experience has been really rewarding.
Between the Sun and the Moon was selected among a limited group of images to be featured in LUX edition 1 by none other than Michael Mansfield, President at Maine Media and previous curator at The Smithsonian, along with Maine Media’s marketing team (shout out to Rafael Baeza {!}) as “an exemplary piece of the work that should be in this inaugural issue.” I am truly honored and grateful to have my Anjou pears shown among a small group of compelling photographs.
The newly minted LUX magazine is an exhibition space of sorts of the “outstanding work done by students at Maine Media”, as well as some of their star instructors.

Thanks so much for stopping by. As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Much love, Laura
